Training for all District staff continues and the feedback about the functionality of MyEdBC has been resoundingly positive.
Manuals are available at www.myedbc.sd23.bc.ca and also in the SD23 District Portal under Help Yourself.
Prior to every training session, emails are sent out to attendees registered in eReg with the document(s) attached. Please print a copy of the manual(s) and bring them with you to the training session.
Just a reminder that all of the training links have been sent out via email. If you haven't received a private link as part of a targeted group to sign up for an eReg session, contact Kirsten Bonn. (firstname.lastname@example.org) (Kirsten.email@example.com 250-870-5000 X 4290)
Did You Know?
In MyEdBC you can go into the Print Queue and end a print job instead of having to end your session if you have run a report in error or it is taking too long. Go to the Reports option in the menu and select My Job Queue…". A window will open and you will have the option to end the Print job.
New Information for Office Staff
An email has been sent out to all schools with a pre-conversion "To Do" list itemizing some things that should be completed before our year-end. The conversion from BCeSIS to MyEdBC over the summer is expected to go well but it's always a good idea to have back-ups of critical information for verification purposes.
About Our Team
The face of your implementation team is Rachael Clarke, Jessica Ewings, Jacki Stabb, Crystal Drachenberg and Blair Hope. We have many behind the scenes members whose contributions have been second to none. Projects of this size always require organization-wide cooperation and teamwork so a big thank-you in advance to everyone involved. Embracing change and maintaining a positive attitude are the things that will set us apart and help us to succeed as we forge ahead with our new student information system.
Jacki Stabb is the longest standing member of our team and brings a wealth of knowledge to the MyEd BC project from the previous migration to BCeSIS. She is a valuable asset to our team with a full knowledge of the school district business cycle and the many iterations of software programs required for each process. She is very organized and is the "record keeper" for the team. If you're looking for a document or an email from several years ago, she'll have a copy! Fun facts about Jacki: She is the "Dog Whisperer"; all dogs love her… and she loves them back. Also, Jacki has an incredible passion for jewelry. Below is an image of Jacki sporting her Tiger charm, which symbolically captures here essence:
